I have been feeding my cockatiel a mixture of :

and

Along with fruits and veggis 2xs a week
Im a bit un-experienced, and I just cant get her to eat anything but her cuttle bone and seeds. She wont eat the fruits and veggies ( tried varied types ) and she wont eat the kibble/ pellets! She picks out the pellets, kibble and snubs the fruits/veggies.
What am I doing wrong, what can I do to get her to eat healthier?
I should probably add Ive had her for 4 months now ....
Question #3:
My cockatiel is still pretty young, and hasnt grown out her very first wing clip yet. Shes never flown in the months Ive had her.
Now, for beauty sake, I'd rather not clip. However, Ive heard it may be dangerous to leave her un-clipped. Ive had parakeets in the past and clipped their wings for simple hassles sake ( as soon as they saw you coming at the end of the day, they'd fly far out of reach, they didnt want to go back into their cage!) However, I havent had any problems with my cockatiel, but I also dont know what to expect once shes gains her flight? Is it normal for them to get into dangerous situations when allowed to fly?
Pros and Cons would be appreciated!

Question #12:
We just don't have the time to spend on this poor bird who is lonely. He seems to get excited when I talk to him, but I think he would be better off with people who spend time with him every day. I don't want to give him away, though, if these small birds are attached to their humans!! Does anyone know if Cockatiels get attached to their owners? Would he get over it if I gave him away?
Question #13:
I have had my cockatiel for a while now and no matter how hard I try or what I do he does not want to ever come out of his cage or let me handle him. I take him out of his cage every day and he immediately wants to go back in. Also during the day all of the sudden he will make this loud screaming type noise and often he won't stop for hours. When he does this I check on his food and water to make sure he has everything and often he goes to bit me. What do I do?

Question #17:
My parents just agreed to buy me a cockatiel a few weeks ago, and we were supposed to pick it up tomorrow, but then today my parents brought up some stuff that made it sound like they weren't going to let me get it anymore.
Three people in my family have asthma, and they said that birds give off a ton of dust and it's really bad for asthma and allergies.
Then they said that if it ever gets sick then they aren't paying for any medical bills if it has to go to the vet. So either I pay for it, or it doesn't get treated. But I don't even have a job (my parents won't let me) so I can't pay for it! That means if it gets sick, it dies!!! I can't believe my parents are so selfish!
What do I do? I really really really want this bird and I have already done a TON of resesarch on how to take care of them and I have been so excited to pick it up tomorrow and now all my dreams are crushed just because of this stupid asthma problem and money problem. PLEASE HELP!!!
Question #18:
So I have been wanting a pet cockatiel for pretty much my entire life, and a few weeks ago my mom agreed to let me have one. I found someone that is wanting to rehome her bird, and I am seeing it tomorrow, and buying it if I like it. But then I just thought about how we'll probably have to take it to an avian vet after we get it to make sure that it's healthy, and that can get pretty expensive. I haven't told my mom about this yet, and I'm afraid she won't want to pay for it. I definitely can't, because I don't have a job and I barely have any money.
Also, if it turns out to be sick, what do I do? Should I complain to the previous owner or should I just wait until it gets better or what?
Please help!!
Question #19:
I absolutly love animals, we have two dogs a cat and 2 frogs, a hamster and fish.
Anyway, I want a cockatiel and a sugar glider. I just cant decide which one to get first (when i have money)......
I already have a bird cage......
So what do you think i should get and why?
Question #20:
Hi! I don't own a parakeet, but my sister does, and therefore I also want her bird to have the best care possible. I know the basics of parakeets but no where near as much as I know about my favorite bird the cockatiel! Anyways, I'm really confused on parakeet diets. I always thought that all birds should have a pelleted diet with added fresh fruits and veggies. But I'm hearing that for budgies they need a good quality seed mix with fruits and veggies, because that's what's best for them and what they naturally eat? I always thought they needed pellets with seed added if you wanted to. Our avian vet recommended pellets as well for her parakeets main diet and now I'm hearing differently. I thought only seeds were too fatty for almost all parrots?
Can anyone please explain to me why a parakeet needs it's main diet to be a good quality seed mix, and why parakeets need this and not many of the other parrots like cockatiels? (it might help me if you compare parakeet diets to cockatiel diets) Thanks so much!
